The College of Computing and Informatics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte is looking for talented students to pursue graduate studies in computing. The college boasts well-regarded researchers in many areas of computing, including: artificial intelligence, computer vision, data mining, game development, human-computer interaction, information security, modeling and analytics, networking, robotics, and visualization. Through the Graduate School, we offer a variety of graduate degree options, including M.S. and Ph.D. and graduate certificate programs.
GRAD 2011 is an opportunity to learn about the benefits of a graduate education and the exciting research at UNC Charlotte. It is also an opportunity for our faculty to identify curious and talented students to let them know about the programs at the University. We are interested in recruiting students with strong technical skills in Computer Science, Computational Science, Engineering, Information Sciences, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
We will host students from across the region to attend GRAD 2011, a two day program to introduce promising undergraduates and Masters students to the possibilities of graduate school, as well as the faculty, students, and research opportunities available at UNC Charlotte. Hotel lodging for Thursday and Friday nights and all meals will be provided. Arrangements for transportation to Charlotte is the responsibility of the student; reimbursement of up to $50 for travel costs is available for out-of-area students.
The deadline to apply for GRAD 2011 is Friday, October 28.
